Musa Basjoo Banana Plants

Musa Basjoo (Japanese banana) is actually from China. Musa Basjoo is a tall slender plant that makes a very good architectural plant in the garden. The flowers are creamy yellow with large brown bracts. It brings a tropical atmosphere to any garden, and in ideal conditions, fruit may be produced although not in the UK.

It is a tender perennial and should be moved to a frost-free area during winter. Requires a rich soil and a sunny sheltered position.
